No doxx. Enter my hamster. Born in 2001 sooooo let's go to 2014. I'm happy with that cause it gives me a chance to post this track from a game that doesn't have its own Wikipedia even. Though from what I have gathered the game isn't all that great. The only reason I remember it is because it was in a VGM playlist. So once again, the power of music. And the foolishness of youtube going after accounts uploading music. This game's existence would have been erased from my memory if it weren't for this track.

I couldn't get this track out of my head. The Cave Maze (totally the ice level) of Monster Boy.
Cripes almighty I love this fucking game!!

The OST had all the good remixes of the classic Wonder Boy series, but the original tracks were phenomenal!

With Michiru Yamane and Yuzo Koshiro even doing some tracks, it was simply a stellar collaboration.

Michiru Yamane track for the Haunted House... If you don't feel the Castlevania vibes from this track, just turn in your Vania Card...

And the Volcano Hub (aka Lava level) music, for some reason, totally reminds me of QuackShot on Genesis...

Day 20 - character creation screen music

I don't care for creating characters. Much more into taking control of a set character who is already defined (whether that be fully or even Gordon Freeman shell-esque). Man I don't have a clue what to post. *goes digging*. AHA! Yeah. Miis. As in your avatar on Nintendo consoles since the Wii. Yeah why not. I know I dabbled with that on the Wii and Wii U. The first cut being the best tune probably in this compilation (I do like the Wii U cut too though). No music on the Switch is kinda sad.

Day 20 - Character Creation Music

This was a bit tough for me, I don't play too many games with character creators in there, nor am I one of those people who spend hours upon hours tweaking their character appearance, and none of the music during the creation process really stood out. Had to think about this but eventually settled on Astral Chain (a game with an excellent soundtrack overall). Kinda reminds me of the type of ambient intros you'd hear on prog artist albums in the early 2000s, i.e. Airdrawndagger.

This category seems tailor-made for DC and I see other people have felt that way too with SA2 and Jet Set Radio. JSR was the first game that immediately jumped to mind, it perfectly captured the zeitegeist of early 2000's hip-hop culture and style.

Jet Set sure is popular these last few days. Also, I have no idea what song you are refering to Nintex. Bap Bap Bap does nothing when searching Google along with some other keywords like "videogame song" or whatnot. What song are you talking about? The annoying New Super Mario Brothers tunes that go "Wha Whaaa"?

This song is obviously not going to vibe with everyone. And duh that is true for any song in a literal sense, but unless you are an obtuse goof, you know what I mean.

Personally, I think this track is one of Yuzo's best.. I feel it's completely underappreciated. I still strongly believe SOR1 has the best OST of the series.

Day 24 - Music from an Arcade game

I couldn't find this track alone, so I posted it the whole intro entirely with the sound fx, etc. ... but it had a special place in my good times at the arcade feels. A friend and I found a pretty sweet arcade with Virtua Fighter 2, that practically no one ever went to, so we totally owned VF2 and just camped out by the cabinet for hours it seemed. We were so into it, that we brought a little pocket tape recorder and tried to nonchalantly record the music from the intro. (We'd do this at Best Buy SNES kiosks too with DKC

) The intro music to VF2 always felt so hardcore at the time... like this is something I can only experience at an arcade type feel. lol
