I'm always questioned how Epic decided a 88%/12% makes sense and they still don't have basic features like you mentioned set up before they opened the store, or even now that they're been open as a storefront for a year or two.

Eventually, MS is going to take its own PC storefront more seriously, and make it better than it is now (and they have gone a long way of making the Windows store on windows much more usable than they have in the past already).

EGS is just a redundant, unnecessary launcher that’s not really needed unless you’re a Fortnite special fellow. It’s nice having all your games all in one place for easy management and people have accumulated 15+ years of games on Steam. Epic buying up temporary third party exclusives is an annoyance more than anything, but not the end of the world.
