The health damaging aspect, the environmental and psychological damage... and yes, make up may be a temporary solution, but indeed it does not fix the underlaying problem: That many people can’t feel good as who they are due to pressure from society. They often dont even have the chance to learn to accept themselves.

If you have seen the popular girl from class to be made fun of because she skipped (!) make up during your class trip even once... it breaks your heart. I didn‘t even like her personally.

Here we run in circles, because what do we teach our children? Do not lie, but deceiving is okay. You are perfect as you are, but hide your flaw. The next generation has it even harder.

Make up is now more optional than ever, yet it is not. It has become standard issued. And we pass that on to the next generation. What will the next step be? Will everyone start to under go surgery to fit the artificial image?
