Here’s my take as someone who plays this game on underspecced laptop - Even as an alpha, it is much more feature rich than games like Elite Dangerous (2k hours in that).

The more I read Blood, Sweat, and Pixels by our local Press Sneak Fuck, the more I realize that just blaming mismanagement on games that aren’t making deadlines just isn’t taking into account all of the ways this game can get delayed further, or development hiccups can occur.

I understand a lot of people feel ripped off or mislead, it’s a justified feeling.

I do not Feel that way. I wished they marketed it differently, but tbh I don’t think they’d get the funding if they advertised it as “greatest tech demo ever”.

I am a black woman. I am also a moderator. This bit of intersectionality has been one of the hardest weeks I as an individual have had to deal with in my life. Right now I'm sitting in my car with a cry-headache trying to leave to go to my brother's house. I barely have the energy. It's been interesting to see both sides of the spectrum, where on one end my input in threads concerning black representation and issues is valuable because I can speak from life experience and knowledge, and then on the other end I get called a cop with all of the pain and irony that entails simply because I was the fool who said "yes" to volunteering.

Every game they shown is going to also be released on the regular XB1. So yeah. If you're going to buy a Xbox series X at launch, it's either because you're an guy that always gets an  a console at launch, or you never bought an Xbox yet, and you were waiting for the new one to get released.

I think I'll pick one up in a year or two, barring rumors that there's a mid cycle refresh like they did with the Xbox 1X.
