My one roommate liked the Onimusha series so much he bought Genma Onimusha despite not having an Xbox, knowing anyone with an Xbox or ever having played a game on an Xbox until I bought a used one years later when we were roommates. He stopped playing it like after an hour because it's just a hard mode remix or something like that I'm not an Onimusha expert.

there has definitely been quite a few “jump on shit now ask questions later” type of threads that have started from very very vague and/or suspect sources.

As a long time member of old place (before alot of us moved here), from what I remember, it seemed members knew better than to mislead the forum with articles or news... especially if they provide the link. Either they feared the mods or maybe losing trust of other members. It just seemed members did a better job of vetting their sources, before posting.

Over here... there have been a number of occasions where members who purposely mislead with their thread titles or the content to spread negatively. And when someone calls them out on it (after a bunch of fuck yeas, fuck that person, etc) the OP will just apologize and edit the initial post.. or thread title gets edited. An apology is not enough, when there was initial intent to mislead.

Imo, members should be held accountable for going out of their way to mislead other members in the community who trusts them. (Maybe something does happen behind the scenes, I wouldn't know)... But for some reason some members still feel comfortable doing it.

I'm not speaking about the OP of this thread, I don't feel they went out of their way to mislead..... but there have been other members who have done so to spread negativity or imo to depress others. And unfortunately that also passes on like a disease and others feel that's normal and do the same. Being all dramatic with negativity.

Spreading/passing along truth is important, even if it's negative, don't get me wrong.

It's a punch in the stomach every time I see him quoted in The Mary Sue as an ally. When I confronted him in 2018 to not come near me or my booth, his reply was that he hadn't even thought about it since that night. It haunted me every day from when it happened to when I returned to ECCC. And it still does. He made me feel small, scared, and like my body was there for the taking. Please don't let him do this to any other women.

::Edit:: Thanks everyone. After crying on my fiances should for awhile I'm no longer shaking and sobbing. The fracture he gave me, while mostly healed, still hurts like a mother when poked.

:Second Edit: I can't sleep. I'm shaking inside and out. I feel like vomiting. Just re-read his email. Still hurts. He apologizes profusely, but, the fact that he didn't even think about it again is the sucker punch. I don't want to ruin him, I just don't what him to hurt anyone else. She mentioned that she simply wasn’t up for or able to do anything. I said “ok, if you change your mind, let me know,” hung out a little while longer and then eventually left to go to bed.

I can't with the literal reading and confusion of the use of "fracture" and the "theres gotta be more".

The ONLY thing that matters is how the victim feels when their boundaries are broken. You don't second guess it to minimize their pain and question the validity of those feelings and subsequent reactions. There is no context that alleviates it and searching for one is suspect as all hell.

Supporting victims is important but in cases like this I wonder if it doesn't more harm than good (assuming the description is really all that happened). At some point you might just work yourself up into a victim and lose connection to reality.
