Legit seasons and months of teased story, easter eggs on the map that gave XP, and little stuff like in Dark Souls in skin descriptions, not to mention the huge events and other stuff they did over the years. even Travis Scott was building up to something. And then today it's all just a Marvel tie-in. All the storylines and deep lore for another transparent cash grab that oh-so-convenientually coincides with them ransoming iOS and Google users due to being money grubbing jerks. Not mention you them dropping StW and not giving vbucks to new players there guaranteeing its going to die off even more.

Epic has no honor and is just a shameless sellout. One thing to have one-off events and stuff but literally killing the story and having AN ENTIRE BATTLE PASS dedicated to boring 80s versions of Marvel character is just shortsighted and insane.

I will be taking my money elsewhere and banning Fortnite from my household.

Caught a group of teenagers drinking straight out of our frozen drink machine last night, so I kicked them out of the store and told them all they were banned. One was arguing with me saying he just met these people, and he didn't do anything. I told him I don't care and he had to get out. After about a minute of arguing he finally walked out the door. As he was walking out he called me an asshole. So I flipped him off as he was walking past the window. Not my proudest moment, but it felt amazing to no longer hold it back when customers are just such assholes. It was also funny watching his girlfriend hold him back from coming in after he saw me. Then seeing how angry he got, and making gestures for me to come outside.

Pretty sure I won't get in trouble for this, but even if I do, totally worth it (one of our cashier's told a customer to fuck off and all he got was a write up). I ended up calling the Sheriff to make sure they all left and knew not to come back, and because I got off in 20 minutes and didn't want them still out there. But I just can't stop thinking about how good it felt. So empowering.

'Tell Me Why' is the first game that arguably gets transgender representation right. "How can we expect cis creators aim for anything but safe perfection?" is an absurd slippery slope argument to be making when the transgender community has been mostly been calling out serious bigotry in games with transgender representation before. Safe representation of transgender people in games is, sadly, new and bold. The entire premise of games becoming too safe for representation of transgender people is absurd when this quantifiable hasn't happened yet.   

 

I mean, I get the idea of “safe representation” but generally speaking people want this kind of stuff in escapism type fiction, not necessarily a game company that tries to tackle social issues seriously.

.  Let me say, loudly, transgender people are not defined by trauma. Once again, transgender people are not defined by trauma. Such logic attempts to root the transgender experience in the 'trauma' a transgender person experiences as a way to define the reason behind someone being transgender.

There are transgender people, myself included, who have not experienced trauma. Being transgender was not something that was traumatic for all transgender people. Sure, there is some basic dysphoria most experience, but for some that's about it. There are transgender people that don't get dead-named maliciously, mis-gendered maliciously, beaten for being transgender, brutalized for being transgender or called slurs for being transgender. Yes, there are transgender people that do experience these things, but their existence do not invalidate the other.

Games that portray being transgender as a safe experience should be encouraged because that's the reality that some transgender people find themselves lucky enough to have gone through. Not every game needs to have transgender people going through trauma. Do not assume that simply because a game has a trauma-free representation for transgender people that such a representation is 'flawed' or 'safe'.

Then why you guys act like the world is ending in every trans thread? Are yo more concerned about being included in media about power fantasies than actually starting conversations?
