Even for Dr. Strangelove? The 40th Anniversary Edition just came out last year, if I remember correctly.

No, not ALL films in the boxset are rumored to have SE's, but many are:

Full Metal Jacket

Clockwork Orange

2001: A Space Odyssey

The Shining

...make up the first "wave", iirc. Sorry, there isn't a link to any official announcement, but check out any online DVD forum. There's been plenty of talk about this since early 2006.
