Ok. Scott Rice, my screen writing teacher agrees that Jurrsic Park is an excellent movie. I dont understand how you can hate that movie unless you just dont belive in dinosaurs.

As a movie, based on pure production values (i.e. cinematography, lighting, directing, music, etc), 2001 is astounding. But based on plot, storytelling and shit like that (even with the symbolism and what not) it's a pretty awful movie. I own the damned thing, and while i watch it for it's visual and artistic value, it's a movie i rarely put in just to enjoy.

Dude, Jurassic Park is REALLY REALLY shitty. It's about twice as slow-moving as 2001 is. The first half of the movie is bupkiss in the excitement department, and there's very little adequate casting.

If anything he did something virtually impossible, he created a modern myth and made it accessible to everyone. How many people don't know what "may the force be with you" comes from. Not to mention he succesfully combined 10 different genres into one movie.

Star Wars A New Hope is my favorite film of all time kiddo.
