When Twitter bans him as the result of his own EO Trump will go on Facebook and tell his Q's and Trump supporters to start a civil war against the state that spirals into an open season on Democrats in office.  :doge

Joe Rogan will do a podcast to get high with Michael Moore and discuss how Joe Biden farted really loud on TV the other night when he condemned the violence from both sides.

seeing like a state was the book that, if radicalize is the wrong word, definitely awoke me from my normie slumbers. the upshot is that states -or at least modern ones- operate with an implicit logic, focused around making legible discreet units of governance, and then constructing some kind of administrative order for the purposes of surveillance and manipulation. (sometimes one activity performs both goals.) the point isn’t that surnames were rarer before the rise of the modern state (though i think that’s true), it’s that surnames and full names become metamorphosed into tools readily available for states to use when policing, taxing or conscripting. the argument is that a ‘government name’ as a fixed, rigid designator of a person isn’t really conceivable outside of modern, european/colonial-inspired polities. the roman nomina system -all three units of which are really just different family names, it’s rare to see a truly unique, personal name of a roman citizen- doesn’t really give the lie to this argument: honorifics like ‘Africanus’ or designators like ‘Scaevola’ were treated virtually on par with all the other elements of a roman name; citizens acceded to a name upon adulthood. these names weren’t fixed indices referable, and this is the point, to a state structure and its method of recognizing people. and this recognition is, again, in service to the state’s fashioning a certain public order

the book’s actually good. it should be read. and also read Foucault’s berkeley lectures and Hacking’s taming of chance.

also, you guys should check out Scott’s wikipedia page, cuz there are two sentences on it that are not like the others:
Quote
On graduation, Scott received a Rotary International Fellowship to study in Burma, where he was recruited by an American student activist who had become an anti-communist organizer for the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). Scott agreed to do reporting for the agency and at the end of his fellowship a post in the Paris office of the National Student Association, which accepted CIA money and direction in working against communist-controlled global student movements over the next few years.

I'm going to be real with you guys, anyone with conservative viewpoints or ideologies, those people bleeding to death or dying horribly would make life feel a bit better. Maybe it's being exposed to the average American day in and day out, but my patience and empathy for hateful rhetoric that's targeted towards people of color, gender and sexuality, the poor, the unprivileged, mentally and physically disabled, anyone that has that hateful rhetoric is choosing to be evil. I don't care if evil is fostered from environmental triggers or biological tendency, evil is evil.

Don't care if conservatives have families, loved ones, dogs, black friends, they have had enough time and comfort and privalege to come to conclusions about life that aren't hurtful to others, that cause harm to others. People on the right willingly choose hateful, idiotic, harmful behaviors.

Time will wash us all away, and I will feel triumphant victory if I outlive any conservative, white, dumbfuck tard motherfucker that dies before me.

Try working with conservative co-workers and watch how Americans shop and act in a pandemic breh. The amount of anger and disgust I have day to day is making me root for not so nice things.

it feels kind of crazy but then you remember that this relatively small group of assholes has made the rest of the country a shithole where immigrants are put in cages, teenagers can buy assault rifles, the plague is an inescapable fact of life, police have essentially unlimited power, and a few jerkoffs get rich off all of it. and fuck that doesn't even cover how we treat the rest of the world. if the monsters supporting that shit have to die so we can pull back on that even a little then fuck me let's go.

Having learned more about the recent incident I just want to say that I hope the police officer will be treated with respect and gets a fair trial after he's shot in the dick.
