You can just say <insert_here> is in development and sound excited and that's enough for it to be a real project that exists.

Session even included a SKATE-like control scheme, in one of the latest updates (haven't tried it yet, myself).
However all those games have been in early access for years now, and still lack the amount of polish and content you'd want from an actual game.
Considering how fast BlackBoxStudio put together SKATE3, back in the day, i think it's realistic that, even starting now, they could beat them at the finish line.

That is, if EA doesn't just scrap everything halfway through, which is likely.

I just realized that Squadrons was a passion project of EA Motive.
If they didn't pursue it and just went on to work on I dunno, DLC for the next Battlefield or a next-gen tech demo, EA would've had nothing this year.
