I’ve been unemployed for 4 months. I’m getting some decent UI payments but those will cease next week. Who knows what the fuck I’m going to do. I made the mistake of sticking with the restaurant industry and have actually made a good living as GM for the past 10 years but fuck that. I refuse to work in a restaurant right now. Maybe I’ll just drive for GrubGo until there is a vaccine or whatever and destroy this car I have been babying since 2011.

My options are limited at this point. All of my skills revolve around getting fancy food and wine into the faces of rich people. Even the secondary and tertiary industries that support restaurants are letting people go.

Yup, been at it since 1994. I attended the very first E3, even.

what do you do?

I started as an artist, but have been involved with just about every discipline. I'm a senior producer/development manager now.

Unemployed for a month and this is the month I decide to get my front tooth fixed with a root canal and Crown.

I still have my dental insurance since I'm on a 11 month contract, and it's set up where July I don't get a paycheck. $240 for the root canal, $700 for the crown.

Heh, yeah. First month on unemployment I had to pay to have to my stepsons toenail beds lasered out of pocket to the tune of $500+

Yeah,  his nail beds are super deep and he gets bad in grown toe nails but they cut them back and then laser blast it so it won’t grow back
