Go see Ninja Squad! This movie is awesome.

My friends and I got drunk the other night watching this classic. What's so great about Ninja Squad? For one it has NINJAS. WITH GUNS! It also has romance, violence, and even more ninjas! It's the ultimate package of awesome.

Things that are great about Ninja Squad:

1. The ninjas proclaim themselves as ninjas on their bandannas. Nin....ja.

2. There is like a 30 minute gun battle at the end and it's nothing but ninja kick ass awesomeness!

3. When the ninjas lose their swords they can grow another back out of thin air!

4. Ninjas!

5. At one point in the movie a girl is held captive and she screams something like,"Where am I?!" and the word BASEMENT is plastered on the door.

Watch these videos if you don't believe me! The most awesome movie I've seen since Street Fighter the movie!

Sister Street Fighter. It's from the 1970's and I think most of the story for the Street Fighter videogames comes from it because of how all the characters look and that they have the same names and weapons (Vega) but the story is like an extreme form of the games and it's so awesome. It's cheesy but one of my favorite movies.

Hate, hate, HATED it when I first saw it.

Then when I overcame my anger and settled down (which took about a week or two), I went back and tried to like it for what it was: a movie so horrendously bad, that it was entertaining. Well, it worked. The terrible dialogue, the garish colors, the twenty different costumes for each character, bad casting, interestingly crap set pieces... I EAT IT UP LIKE CANDY NOW

I think part of my massive disappointment was due to me having not seen Batman Forever prior to B&R. The trailers were enough to turn me off of Forever, and I was still sore that Burton was excised from the project. The only thing Joel Schumacher was involved with that I had seen prior was Falling Down. What a contrast.

Man, there's a bunch of 80's movies that are big guilty pleasures for me. Most are cult classics, like Better Off Dead while others like Adventures in Babysitting made some cash. "Don't fuck with the babysitter!"

I always get Road House and Next of Kin mixed up. I guess because they both came out in the same year. But because of that, the movies have always gone hand in hand for me.

Fun fact: I remember being in Chicago when they were filming a fight scene for the movie. Didn't see Swayze or anyone else famous, though.

Well Next of Kin fits into this same category. I always love the scene where their wives are making them sandwhiches and shit to go and fight. But Next of Kin didn't have a badass monster truck like Roadhouse!
