There's no way on earth I'm going to keep this post updated with all the eliminations and knockout stage results, I just wanted a containment thread to enjoy the spergers getting salty about England's domination.

Ones to Watch

France are favourites but will probably surrender again
Germany.... lol
Portugal have a sexy team, but little to no strength in depth and are in the group of death (see below)
Spain are dark horses, particularly if/when they enter the knockout stages due to their defensive strengths and the unplayable Adama

Nothing especially exciting in the group stages, apart from Group F: The Group of Death (tm). Easily the most talked about qualifying group and potentially, at least one of the big boys could be going out at this stage, particularly as Hungary are a much better team than people expect and are playing some matches at home.

Everyone is quite surprised how well they are doing. It's also a much different team than we usually have.
Most of the players are less experienced but more down to earth and far less arrogant than our previous 'A team' with the likes of van Persie and Robben.
There was often infighting about who was selected to play and some held back because they get paid far less for these matches than at their usual clubs.

There's a lot of potential in this team and because the defense is solid the strikes can afford some mistakes but so far they had to rely on lucky breaks to win. (penalty against Austria, suspended Austrian)

Would be quite something if we win because of that.
