Is Lukaku the most overrated player of all time?
I wouldn't even put him in a top 10. He's somewhat limited in how he needs to be played as a forward, and Belgium is certainly not set up for him to shine all that much with a terrible manager, but also with De Bruyne, and Hazard (not so much anymore, but he used to be amazing obviously) being more important, it makes sense they are set up for them more. He can do well at a good level though, and I dont feel like anyone ever rated him as one of the best forwards in the world really. People thought and hoped he could become that, but instead he was a very solid/good premier league forward, who could also go on and dominate Serie A.
Nah, we have/had players like Busquets, Coutinho, Depay, Gerard, Scholes (might actually be #1), Martial, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Veratti, James Rodriguez and hell... Kane! All players people have at some point talked about being among the best in their positions, or even of all time. Some like Busquets just worked in a team where everyone else were amazing, while Coutinho had to score a screamer every 20 match and do nothing else to be rated as a top player.
