https://www.resetera.com/threads/in-forbidden-america-louis-theroux-eviscerates-the-far-right-new-documentary-series.553354/ I wondered if Theroux should even be giving them a platform, given they're banned from most social media and video websites now.
So I made a thread about it.
In America, you won't challenge racist far-right groups until white people start challenging their friends and family. Shit like "We just don't talk politics" or "That's just how racist Uncle Johnny is" are the reason why this shit festers. Making them look stupid isn't going to convince racist Uncle Johnny that he was wrong.
No progress will be made in America on this front until white people put skin in the game. Shit like typing "#BLM!" and calling it a day is all white people think they have to do. Racist hate will start to be dismantled when white people begin to challenge their family, friends, and other white people.
This always has been such buck passing. It's not my fault there is racism! It's theirs for not talking to racist family members.
OK, you don't have racist family members so you helped solve racism?
And "just talk to racists," is their solution? Isn't that what they hate personally doing, (not my job to educate you) and they hate other people doing it, (coons, uncle toms, and other self-policing terms?)
