Yep, repealing citizen United, making all campaigns needing to be all coming from the same pot etc. would change things.
Repealing citizen united is not nearly enough. It's a good start, great even, but it's not the main vector of legal corruption we have in the US.
But I always believe you start with something and get the ball rolling, we have seem to have accepted the current state of affairs and it's bad.
You guys go ahead and get that ball rolling on repealing the First Amendment to "repeal"
Citizens United, the case where the federal government argued that of course it could ban books and was attempting to block a 30 minute documentary (and advertisements for it) criticizing Hillary Clinton from appearing on-demand on cable simply because Hillary Clinton was a politician pursuing a party nomination for higher office.
