I think we're just looking at different demographics here.  The internet has opened up a million different combination of beliefs that exist all along the political spectrum, which include some traditionally from the "other side".  Sure, there's some hypocrisy involved here and there, but I think largely, the side cosplaying these highly sexualized characters and drawing massive tits and dicks are not the same as the people crying about rape culture every time they see a knee.  It's actually amusing to me how much the "prude left" can't see the parallels between them and the puritanical right, just like how all the nazi porn artists don't realize they'd be among the first in line for the concentration camps.

Side-note, the fact both the far left and far right want to restrict media on moral grounds is one of the best ways to display horseshoe theory.  The former just have better plausible deniability over it with their "we don't want this media to be censored, we just want it to not exist by socially conditioning the creators to not make it" statements, at least until they abandon that and do what the CPC is currently doing.
