I missed this earlier but thanks to Potato quoting the entire post I saw it:
And her scientific findings?
Solutions:
Federal concealed carry law so can't carry weapons in public without a license
Prohibit automatic weapons
The second "solution" is already effectively the current state of the law and has been for all of Rebecca Watson's adult life. She can't name a mass shooting that used an automatic weapon. And regarding the first "solution" I don't think there's ever been a media-attention-receiving mass shooting involving someone concealed carrying without a license, the proposed "solution" wouldn't mean you can't carry weapons it would only mean you couldn't
conceal without a license which probably wouldn't be much of an impediment to someone who has chosen to violate the law on murder multiple times over.
It's always fascinating when people who don't know anything about the current state of the law think they have easy "scientific" solutions to how to improve the law and stop all bad things forever.
Although not as fascinating as Messofanego's takeaway from all that "science" being that a policy advocacy group should be labeled a "terrorist organization" by the federal government and presumably everyone involved be thrown in prison without trial along with anyone who has ever posted "sexual harassment" online.
