Okay so hear me out. I was taking a shower in November during my Pokémon Violet binge and I noticed something incredible.

When I wipe my hand up my forehead and into my hairline, a sound effect activates between my skin and hair that sounds EXACTLY like the shaking of a Pokéball before escaping or before the final click to signify a caught Pokémon.

Since then on my daily morning showers I look forward to that effect, and even follow up 3 of them with a click and then giggle to myself.

Surely everybody is different, and a variety of factors can make most if not all others hear something completely different in turn, and I want to know what that is!

Next time you’re in the shower, I’m curious as to the sound you hear when try the very same. One might call me a member of the Elite Forehead…

thanks to the CNN article I was able to finish the email I'm sending around my office, get it approved and sent off. The equity team helped make it way more civil and work appropriate which I unfortunately get, but at least I'm getting it done. I sent it off today. Still not entirely hopeful as basically my boss and HR are trying to have a cake situation where both myself and others are happy but at least they humored me this far :I

Not only did you make this exact same post almost a year ago, but if you want to argue the moderation is overzealous for cracking down on such a "mild" disagreement, it would probably help to provide the context that you went into that thread, one specifically bringing up the issues with that game in terms of the inbalance of sexualization/fanservice between men and women, along with it being done with underage characters, and handwaved it away with "it's an anime game". That's a fair bit more of a loaded position than just "I don't find them offensive". There were tons of people in that thread bringing up that they didn't feel it was a big deal, but most of them managed to do so without getting banned because it wasn't dismissing it out of hand as just being a "japan" thing (and the ones who did do so obviously ate the same ban as you)

This forum has always had moderation problems when it comes to favoring tone-policing over taking principled stances on certain subjects, but they have been fairly clear on posts that dismiss or handwave concerns regarding sexism or racism. So ask yourself if what you think you wrote is actually what you wrote.

The 13 sentinels was a ridiculous thread that I will continue to dismiss because it is worth dismissing. People acting like seeing a girls shoulder is sexist or porographic is worth dismissing. And yes, it's an anime game! Watch an anime! They often have this same issue. So if you want to talk about the issue of sexualization of underage girls in anime and Manga, that seems like a discussion worth having. It's pretty fucked up. My issue was more people calling out 13 sentinals specifically....which is the most mild form of this I've seen in an anime thing...and even in gaming is maybe the most minor example I've ever seen seemed weird to me and still does!

But yes, keep digging in people's post histories for dirt! Totally not a weird thing to do! Very normal.

Well, the current main character of Twitter posted a 70+ post Twitter thread about how Atomic Heart’s fridge character wouldn’t have been made if a single woman with dyed hair worked on the game. That was then followed by another unhinged rant wherein apparently a black woman in Louisiana, (Aveline), is in the wrong time period compared to Kasumi from DOA whose “totally coded as an assassin.” I would to the thread itself but there are some nsfw pics and also the person gets increasingly with the misogyny that the rant evolves into transphobia, racism, etc.

This is on the same day that someone unironically complained about Cammy’s forehead on the same day that someone else complained that Cammy’s butt, with newly added jiggle physics btw, is actually too small.
