Gotta love how Excel, in an attempt to shame Mr. Beast, instead shines a massive spotlight on the hypocrisy that is ResetEra LLC.
Let's see... a forum that started under the guise of "for the people, by the people", instead falls solely into the hands of an individual, who, in turn, grows the forum on the backs of, and thought the hard work of volunteers, who then turns around and sells it for a massive profit (millions of dollars) to an even bigger corporation, who makes a large sum of money from aggressive, intrusive, and invasive advertising (seriously, you ever go to that website without ad blockers? it's borderline unusable), or, from a monthly donation to the aforementioned corporation to remove said ads.
Their forum is littered with promotional material, much of which is, again, made by unpaid volunteers for the benefit of billion dollar corporations with ZERO appreciation, or recognition from the corporations they are volunteering for. And holding this all together, more unpaid volunteers, who constantly bemoan how difficult the job is, how unrewarding it can be at times (most times?) and for what? Building a sense of community? Guess what morons, you can do that without lining the pockets of millionaires and billion dollar corporations. But instead, they choose to be exactly what they are railing against, and without even a hint of self awareness.
