"full scale Russian invasion" is something I couldn't doubt more, there is no point in doing that. US media is at a point where they are almost cheering and hoping for gigantic war happening, the usual way US presidents use to raise their popularity and also helps their (war) economy.

Hopefully it all stops at those eastern regions being declared independent (against every international law) but no big conflict happening.

Putin is not entirely wrong about the Nazi issue. Ukraine has been a hotbed for neo-Nazis since at least 2014 (there's concerts, festivals and events taking place in Kiev where extreme right elements from all of Europe are gathering), and much of the country's population in WW2 sided with Nazi Germany and created the 14th SS Division (still-living veterans and descendants of these fighters are still honouring their legacy - see this article from the Times of Israel for horrifying photos).

On the other hand, Putin is copying the Hitler playbook to the letter, and there's a rampant neo-Nazi movement within Russia as well.

Now it's apparently elevated to concern trolling.

Very conflicted, the game clearly is culturally appropriating all kinds of cultures despite the developers probably being majority white and it's full of anti-semitism everywhere not to mention how deeply sexually fetishized Aloy is, but at the same time the chuds are upset because Aloy has modeled hair on her face and the Sony PR tells me the chuds are even more upset at Aloy being an empowered woman playable in a video game which makes me want to give them all my money to own the chuds, but then again if someone mocked the chuds by putting hair on Kirby's face that would be highly transphobic, so I don't know what to believe.

This is why so many leftists have generally been critical of NATO and against further expansion. Russia made it clear that they saw further expansion of NATO to Ukraine and Georgia as counter to their strategic interests and as militarily threatening. It does not matter whether anyone in the West agrees with that assessment, Russia has made it clear that that is its view and that it will act accordingly. Western leaders were well-aware of this. By continuing to promote the expansion of NATO, the West basically encouraged Ukraine to act confrontationally towards Russia even though they knew that if push came to shove they would not actually help Ukraine. The same exact thing happened with Georgia in 2008. And before anyone tells me I'm blaming NATO, I'm only blaming NATO in so far as that NATO leaders were well-aware that their actions were provoking Russia (regardless of whether anyone thinks Russia was justified in feeling provoked) and that Ukraine would be the sole bearer of a reaction.

I think a lot of people, in this thread and the world at large, needs to strongly reassess their morality in all of this.

War has come to Europe, that much is a fact. What it comes down to, then, is a willingness to leave Ukrainians to shoulder the burden alone, all while sitting back and writing about how awful it would be if war were to come to Europe.

People are going to die. Would you rather sit back and let it be Ukrainian civilians being bombed? The West has volunteer militaries: everyone who has enlisted knows that they enlisted for. And there’s no need to prance around the answer: they enlisted to fight wars.

It is mind boggling selfish and stupid for people to be sitting around wondering where Putin will strike next, whose sovereignty is under threat, all while bemoaning the very thought of standing up to his force with force of our own.

So the question I have for everyone still saying NATO/EU shouldn’t get involved: is it that you don’t like war, or you simply don’t like being an active participant in war?

People are dying. We’re watching a country be dismantled in real time.
