"Border guards prioritise refugees over foreign students"

There's a serious racism issue in Ukraine, but there's also the part where men aged 16 - 60 are not allowed to leave the country.
Most men that did go to the border of Poland, did so to bring their family to safety and then returned to Ukraine to fight or help out in other ways.
They've recruited medical/administrative staff, drivers and cyber warfare groups from the universities as well.
I understand these Africans want to leave but that's not how it works for able bodied men under martial law.
Especially when former Presidents, Miss Ukraine, diplomats and journalists are wielding guns on the front lines and mixing Molotovs to burn the Russians alive.

This is also cultural or perhaps even instinct(?). In places like Iraq, Syria, where borders and states have little to no meaning because once upon a time some Europeans drew a map. The people there simply move elsewhere in the face of danger or side with the strongest faction like they did in Afghanistan. They have been nomads for far longer. Europeans on the other hand hunker down and built fortresses to defend their land and if you know anything about the history of Ukraine (Holomodor, WW2 and even events prior) it is easy to see why.
