I'm not here defending FIFA or the choice to host WC at Qatar and I'm aware of the questionable to straight up illegal dealing surrounding it. I'm also aware of the not so subtle subset of western sport reporting feeling robbed by a WC in the Middle East to almost a racist level that started long before any of those reports started coming out.

The title has most of the posts in this thread riling up in response to a number that shows lower mortality rates for migrant than in most developed western countries rates for citizens by a large margin, that's propaganda level fear mongering not journalism.

As for number 3, I already pointed that in one of the posts but also, migrant workers in the region aren't all within that age, they're found in pretty much every subset of society covering everything from running grocery stores to lead surgeons and engineers, it's perfectly safe to say the country wouldn't run without them and the difference between them and actual citizens in age groups isn't that big outside the underage group.

I'd also like to counter this 34 number with this article, emphasis my own:

It's most definitely worse than 34 in six years and I remember there were a lot of articles about it few years back that painted a much darker picture, but I'm having a hard time finding any which makes me think Qatar went through google to fix their image.
