Era for once was on the right side here, ironically breaking with much of the larger progressive community outside of people that actually watched some of the trial like Hasan.
I can see there being some real fallout over this at least for a few days, especially among the people that need to reduce everything to black and white. This case was basically antithetical to everything #metoo publicly became (even if it didn't start that way). False accusations, a rich and famous male celebrity being abused by a significantly less rich and famous female celebrity, a man being victimized by a woman in general, validation for bad right-wing actors that don't care and can use this as a recruitment tool, etc. Watching the larger sphere of progressives with no capability for nuance get mindbroken is a lot more satisfying than Era getting salty over a "wrong" verdict.
As someone that knows male DV victims, this has been a good day all around.
