And then people say “see? You got a white character.” No, not really, you didn’t. And you can’t just point to other characters who “are close” to what someone was looking for and go “see? Street Fighter had all of 2 black women kind of... unless you wanted a character with street style and modern appeal and represents black people in the US.”

When designing a character, it should always be important to nail a visual design that people don’t just find interesting to look at, but can identify with and see as “cool”. That’s part of OverWatch’s massive appeal. It’s why Street Fighter has always been really “quirky”, but not necessarily “wow, I really wanna’ cosplay/be more than a handful of these characters.”

Nah, this is bs.  There have been hardline stances from the staff before, including times without evidence.  The "we don't TRULY know what happened" sounds fine in a vacuum, but it defies a large chunk of the site's history and presumably future.

Flip the genders.  Amber Heard has a large amount of conclusive evidence that Johnny Depp abused her, including cutting off the tip of her finger.  Depp claims she abused him, and throws witness after witness onto the stand that only make fools of themselves and give no usable evidence or testimony that points to what he claims.  The jury rules in Heard's favor.

There is no "we don't know what actually happened" staff post in that situation, there is one explaining the official stance of the staff, which is Johnny Depp abused Amber Heard, and any posts defying that or trying to both sides the case will be swiftly banned.

That's the soundtrack of the US version of the movie, for americans, the biggest fans of the IP.

I don't see any reason to be embarassed for not liking a certain style, its a personal preference after all.
I admit thought that I had completely forgoten about 3rd Strike as when it came out, almost none of the arcades in my area had it so I barely touched it!
So yes, people are correct that this is not "new" for the series, mea culpa and my apologies on that!

Apart from that though, I still don't feel that it jells very well with the more grunge / punkish rock vibe that I recall from most of the SF games.
I got no issues with hip hop being a street music style, but in the end its not like punk, smash, rock and many many other style weren't also street music once upon a time.
I simply feel that those suit this particular series more. Not sure though why so many people think that a personal preference is a "hot take" but eh, who cares. If you thing that the style shown yesterday and the song were great, then thats awesome, I'm glad you will enjoy it!

In the end, the music is a secondary thing in this case.
My no1 hope is that we avoid the massive dissapointment that was the SF5 launch, Capcom should really deliver a full and complete experience from the getgo and not launch an early access title again (no matter how nice the core gameplay was!)
If they deliver a solid and complete title (even with the fully expected tons of seasons and extra characters to buy), they can have eurovision music and dressups for all I care 😂

ps: any leaks / news about having Sakura in the starting setup? I 'suffered' in SF5 waiting for season 3 till they deigned to bring her back.

But you all can’t ignore that a lot of horrid shits on the right are happy to take full advantage of this trial. We have a responsibility there too. It isn’t to just reproach various figures on the left who are saying foolish shit but also to combat the bad faith approaches coming from elsewhere, which are arguably far more damaging.

It’s 100% true that the worst people on the right will take advantage of this verdict and they’ll do so successfully. I was posting about this in the older thread and it’s really rearing its ugly head now with people like Rittenhouse jerking themselves off about this trial.

They’re the ones who are a far bigger threat. That this trial will silence future abused women is just undeniably true. It’s a terrible and inadvertent result but it’s just true, and it doesn’t even matter that it was Amber Heard’s fault or anyone’s. We have to deal with the result regardless of who’s at fault and I really hate this weird thing where we pretend that this isn’t happening.

I’m going to say something most won’t like. But I respect Xbox’s transparency way more than Sony’s at this point.

For third party games, like Forspoken for example. Sony loves to be transparent. They’ll put fine print at the bottom “limited exclusive for x months”.

But for their own first party games which we now know are also timed exclusives, there is no such disclaimer. It’s disingenuous and they’re taking us for a fucking ride.
