however I also hate this trend in discourse on era and elsewhere that it's utterly impossible for devs to be lazy, because sometimes it's a hard job and they have to crunch sometimes etc
it's possible for anyone to be lazy, at any time
laziness could be found higher up the chain, in refusing to figure out the right number of people or man hours for a job and either throwing too many or too few at any given project
I guarantee you every game dev makes dozens of decisions at their job every day borne out of a desire to do something easier or quicker, which isn't necessarily bad but yes, developers are human too, it's not magically the only job free from all laziness
