Wait, they were going to require masks? What do they think the attendees are doing the second they leave the event? I dunno, sounds like more stuff is happening behind the scenes. I find it hard to believe they couldn't find additional funds to do an event somewhere else, even if it's scaled down. In-person GDQs have been a shell of their former self for awhile now, and the online ones just feel like watching any Twitch stream.

it's an event run by a community that is by and large online more than not so it's easy to see the misguided mask mandate requirements not matching with how things have shaken out in the real world. I just traveled outside of the US without having to wear a mask once, mandating masks at events like this is just pointless.

I get the politics here sucks, but implying that LGBTQ people face real danger here after all of the changes this city has seen since the shooting is something else. There is a huge community here and it is something that is greatly celebrated here, especially in Orlando.

Sadly ND hired the writer who wrote that piece about how mean it is that black characters die in a game where most characters die.
