Thank god. Like this overindulgence to be the most morally right person when it suits you is so tiring. 5 pages and it's still off hand comments on Lettitia. I'm not asking for her words to be forgotten but like the woman had an episode and has shut her mouth since. Nahh, ima call bullshit honestly and respectfully. Every time people get a chance to trash talk Letitia's involvement they do so. She did post some transphobic stuff but most people only know about the anti-vax stuff. This thread alone seems to show as much. So going on that alone, Evangeline Lilly is also anti-vax, her characters name is in the title which shows a role of importance. People should feel just as comfortable calling her out and expressing their disgust for her as they do Letitia every time there is an Ant-Man thread. Her involvement in the movie itself should be the sole purpose why people should be expressing how much they don't want to see the movie. Calling her trash, saying how it's such a shame she's involved, saying how they're bummed out, etc. But that not the case, Era has no problem coming into every Black Panther thread and talking shit about Letitia, they have no problem coming into every thread to "inform" everyone about how much they think she's a piece of trash for being anti-vax and transphobic.

Yet somehow, these same people who want to be so informative don't have anything to say about Evangeline Lilly who is also anti-vax. Here's another thread about Ant-Man and the Wasp. So again, where are all the people who want to talk about Letitita being anti-vax in these threads, talking about Lily too? Why aren't they being vocal about her anti-vax bs, especially when it was happening this year?

I feel the need to argue because even if the intent is not there and it's not on purpose, right now on era there are two Marvel movies where the lead is a woman known to be anti-vax. One is black and one is white and yet somehow the threads about the woman that's black are the ones constantly being filled with people expressing their disgust and filled with negativity. That doesn't sit right with me. I'm not the person to go "ohhh racist" but come on now, you can't tell me that doesn't look sus.

Same with Kanye West. Man spent the past several years being one of Trump's biggest celebrity fans, so you'd think anything associated with making him money would be banned on ERA, right? That's the standard they set for themselves for years now. Is her opinion absolutely stupid (and harmful depending on how you see it)? Yes. But this is a very important film for black culture (again) and for the cast and crew based on the loss. I think there's a way to acknowledge the actresses shortcomings while not taking it out on the overall film/declaring not to support it at the box office.

What's the advantage of being part of an HoA? All I hear are horror stories of pushy and nosy HoAs screwing over a member for benign and petty reasons.

Legal way to discrimate / annoy minorities out of the area. Like, there's always a reason why it's BLM signs and usually not republican stuff. Local / State / Federal governments need to strip away HOA abilities. A really common one is limitations on rentals. You kind of already get the idea who they're trying to keep out.

Limiting rentals in a residential community is meant as a racially directed measure, and not because rental properties (by definition) have non-permanent residents whom often tear their rentals up.

Which sucks because I use Twitter a ton. Mostly to browse and get news from various industries or content creators.

The single social media app that makes me feel a sense of community being ruined by a rich asshole who is already a blight on the platform just seems so very poetic. I know there's a lot of "social media is bad" and "just go elsewhere" takes but Twitter is the one social media that actually did a decent job bringing together niche communities, and that's all going to be blown away so that Trump and WhitePowerFan1488 can have yet another safe space. Glad that LibsOfTikTok will be able to continue their stochastic terrorism.

I'm guessing she's one of the only black people in the neighborhood and this is an attempt to make her feel unwelcome. Especially if the Trump doormat somehow didn't trigger a fine. I would be so happy if this leads to a court case that ultimately neuters HOA power.

HOAs are the biggest crock of shit and anyone that defends them or their mere concept is also full of shit.

They’re racially and economically motivated to punish people others in the neighborhood seem as “undesirables.” Usually POC or those on the lower economical end.

They’re also stupidly corrupt.

Like how the local HOA requires a quarterly payment for lawn maintenance that goes to the lawn company owned by the vice president of the HOA. Or fencing has to be approved and their fencing company is run by a brother or close friend. Sheer garbage shit.

So they... want cops instead of HOA's to enforce residential area standards? Or do they think people are just going to stop establishing and trying to enforce these? Do they even know how many places already have local ordinances that simply go unenforced until somebody wants to fuck with you?

What's the advantage of being part of an HoA? All I hear are horror stories of pushy and nosy HoAs screwing over a member for benign and petty reasons.

Legal way to discrimate / annoy minorities out of the area. Like, there's always a reason why it's BLM signs and usually not republican stuff. Local / State / Federal governments need to strip away HOA abilities. A really common one is limitations on rentals. You kind of already get the idea who they're trying to keep out.
