Well, for the sake of my own sanity, I will take a step back and move away from news site and forums. I spend too much time on these, hoping for some good news that will apparently never happen.

Last few Sony PC releases showed that some things will probably need to change if they want to achieve growth on PC.

Sony is facing few issues with their PC releases and one of the biggest are price and time since original release. They simply can't charge full price for all of their releases if they expect big sale numbers. People for the most part won't pay full price, they waited 2-6 years for release already, they can wait more.

Second thing that is is currently big topic are spoilers. We saw Sony developers being upset because GoW got released 2 weeks early. But nobody mentioned PC players who need to wait at least one year (according to Sony) to get those games. And Sony SP games are very story focused so spoilers do matter. So as they said PC is not priority and PC players are basically "second class citizens". And their excuse hiw PlayStation player are their priority kinda falls apart when they go and say that GaaS releases will be day 1 on PC, titles that basically don't have spoilers.

And third thing is marketing, Sony will need to invest more money for marketing PC releases. They can't just drop game on PC at full price and expect that everything will be fine. Competition on PC is much stronger than on PlayStation. And if they don't want to spend money on multiple marketing campaigns they can always release game day 1 on PC.

All in all in my opinion if Sony wants to achieve significant growth on PC they will need to release their games on PC day 1 (to charge full price and not spoil narrative heavy games). Or at least make smaller step and lower prices of late ports.

Autistic man very much normalised to the idea of his own brilliance while being regularly self-entertained by the idea of being an 'enlightened' snarky asshole, then reinforced by being nominally the richest man on the planet, meaning he must be smart, which his fanbase very much likes to echo for him. So the idea of getting in digs by way of 'pointing out' things that someone didn't realise is almost certainly one of those responses that most appeal to him.

Studies have been done that show if you sing the same lyrics in a country song or other music perceived as "white" vs. a rap song, people think the rap song is more violent.

Is there a more contemptible idiot phrase than, "Studies have shown"/"Studies have been done".  Joe Rogan does this all the time.  Which studies?  Fuck knows.   I don't think country music is thematically driven by gangbangers bragging about killing each other but alas, studies have shown so I guess I'm the idiot.  I didn't know about the studies.  And fwiw, rap music feels a million times more interesting and creative than country, so who cares.

Make wages flat compared to inflation and housing costs and people will just slowly have less and less wealth but who cares, they can have 200 channels on cable TV to distract them from the fact that they never seem to be able to take vacations with their kids the way their parents did with them. This basically worked for the capitalists. But in more recent years, it’s like their greed got the better of them and they turned every burner on the stove up to max. And now that they’re there, they can’t not have the burners on max. And maybe the frog is starting to notice that, hey, something fishy is going on here.

original r/antiwork began anarcho-communist and literally thought no one should have to work, but was co-opted by the more general movement of people wanting to be paid fairly and became about horrible bosses and feel-good quitting stories and generally stays that way

one of the splinters was run by a good-hearted guy who wanted to support anyone wanting to be paid fairly (i.e. conservatives allowed to complain too, the more the merrier) but he was bullied into giving up the reins of his own subreddit to insane nonbinaries and such
