The growth of nerd power on the internet (a factor that has made everyone else’s life worse but mine much more enjoyable)
With so many transfems deeply engrained in global meme culture, they knew about the potiental of BLÅHAJ before anyone else. So with a military degree of swiftness, they captured BLÅHAJ for themselves. The shark was on estrogen. The shark loved pickles. The shark loved everyone, even if other people thought they were a little bit big and awkward in spaces. A cute soul in an intimidating body.Meme culture is all about awareness. So before most of the general public knew what a BLÅHAJ was, they knew it was a trans thing. Online communities have been quick to exclaim that BLÅHAJ is for everyone, but the role the shark has within this specific region of queer culture is undeniable. I know more trans women who have BLÅHAJ than who have health insurance.
I read that entire article because I clearly hate myself
How many at RE actually read the article? Some stuff she is writing felt like paranoid Gamergator take on transexuals, like admitting that she gets a kick of making everyone else miserable. This is cynical as hell if you have read how much they get mad when people don’t allow them to “claim” something.
if they even got invited to the birthday party in the first place

Melody Amaranth is a kindhearted but meek transgender fox from the small town of Greenridge. Recently, she made two important realizations about herself. One: she's deeply in love with her adventurous best friend, Allison Goleta. (The feeling was mutual.) And two: if Allison has her heart set on becoming an adventurer, then maybe Melody could join her. As a healer. It all seemed perfect. And then things got weird.Super Lesbian Animal RPG is a classic-inspired turn-based roleplaying game about love, anxiety, and fighting funny looking monsters in dungeons. It follows the stories of Melody, Allison, and their friends Claire (a sarcastic, rule-bending witch) and Jodie (a dependable, somewhat motherly knight). Over the course of their journey, our inexperienced heroes will meddle with forces beyond their control and find themselves responsible for the fate of their hometown. They'll also fight some spherical frogs, travel to a forgotten land in the sky, befriend a robot or two, and piss off the local librarian. But that should go without saying.(Image removed from quote.)(Image removed from quote.)(Image removed from quote.)Super Lesbian Animal RPG is created by Bobby Schroeder, who you might know from Thanks Ken Penders, and her team, and has been in production for roughly nine years. As you can tell, it's another Earthbound-inspired indie game, but this time it's about animal trans lesbians who can kiss each other during combat. Plus, you can expect some very good writing, particularly regarding romance. I've been following this for a long time and I'm excited to see it finally come out.

I'm not going to lie, I have been delighted watching the alt-right media publicly come to realizations of the staggering repudiations they were just handed in the mid-terms . It feeds my soul. Jesus you seem like an insufferable shit, I have no idea how you can speak so definitively about shit you haven't seen. It's fucking mind-boggling, offensive to the very idea of creativity, and intellectually lazy.I'm going to ignore you now, but fuck man, you need to sort yourself out.
Sometimes when I see people with dates of death right before Trumps presidency, Covid or any of these freak summers I'm already thinking how they can be glad to have died without knowing of any of these.
A lot of sexualisation for the female characters, and barely any for the male characters at least from the trailer. Maybe Margot Robbie gets to sexualise men and the camera goes by her subjective viewpoint (assuming her character is hetero/bi) in the final film or in another trailer? I hope it's not a cake-and-eat-it situation where Damien Chazelle argues that the objectified framing of women is justified by the period setting of decadent Hollywood, because you can still examine sexualisation in the industry without having a male gaze. I'm curious about the demographics for who turns up to see this at the cinema.

Meh, I'd gladly take China's ZC approach over our let er rip approach. They'll be in a much better place as a country than any of us western countries in 10 years thanks to their austere measures.Mind you, there's room for leniency in there that China isn't allowing, but I appreciate how serious they're taking this compared with our severely selfish, brain damaged and ignorant view out west.We are literally handing China the future advantage by letting COVID tear through our population unchecked (read: think mild to moderate long term brain, cardiovascular, and generalized organ damage to our entire population).
I don't support the wilful detention of citizens, anywhere (especially not the human-rights violating Chinese government). However, the Chinese (unlike the west) are actually acting like this to PROTECT their workforce. Notice I said workforce, not citizens. They have known for a long time that covid left run unchecked is an eventual mass disabling event. Constant reinfection not only creates new variants, it also causes cumulative damage. To the human immune system, to the brain, the lungs and even potentially the reproductive system (what we in the west essentially call "long covid" as a form of minimization). Long covid is a dice roll on the first infection (about 10% give or take) but that number goes up with reinfection. And you can get reinfected in as little as 3 weeks without protective measures on a societal scale. All of these things are measured and in preliminary studies now. The west is already in a state of decline from life expectancy, overall workforces, and notable immune damage (especially in children) which we yet know whether the effects are permanent or not - also documented. But if the similarities to the way the body reacts to HIV and COVID hold true, it may be permanent. There is still a lot more scientific study to be done, but essentially the Chinese government are acting this way because they know that Johnny's trip to Applebee's to eat and drink with his friends is a lot less important than Johnny's ability to be a productive member of society. They are just doing it forcefully in the worst way possible, unfortunately, with violence and awfulness. Dictatorships never work. But in this case, the McKinsey consultation's letting it rip strategy (the "Great Barrington Declaration") is also the wrong call. What's the right approach here?
I get that and being upset by such inhumanity is a valid response. However, as a trans person living in the American South whom has been plagued by hereditary mental health struggles my entire life, as well as a very traumatic upbringing to boot, I don't wish apocalyptic annihilation upon us all; in spite of all the countless millions in this country who would prefer to see me dead. It's all about perspective and seriously wishing for the entirety of humanity to die is far from a healthy one. As bad as the struggles are and I know better than most IMO, there's also a point where you choose either to adjust your viewpoint to mitigate the suffering, or else you opt to sink into destructive nihilism, which is no help to anyone, least of all you.Get some perspective, maybe get off the internet for awhile, get some sun and exercise, and try to hang with people you love and who love you as often as you can. Maintaining mental health is a lot like dieting: indulging yourself in unhealthy stuff only makes you feel worse, while doing the opposite can only ever help. Constant dooming seems like a self-preservation strategy, but it's really anything but.

Jesus fucking christ oh god
Please can someone say that this isn't going to escalatePlease tried to avoid this for so long but jesus i'm so scared right now .Oh godI don't want to fucking die

I feel like I need to start spending my final moments with my family. I have no faith in our systems prevailing here.

Quote from: Sign My Guestbook!Russians and Poles have families too. It'll be ok. Except this is entirely up to Putin and he doesn't fucking care. I just don't know anymore. I'm so, so, so fucking terrified and I can't see any way out of this for anyone.Quote from: Renna HazelAre you being sarcastic or?It's highly doubtful something like this will lead to WW3. It's not like Russia is declaring war here. This was clearly a misguided missile. No I'm not. I'm trying to avoid a full blown panic attack right now.

I've tried everything I can. I ignored the main thread and blocked the element even. I was making plans for how I'm gonna start losing weight again after the stress of the start of this war caused me to gain, like, 40lbs. Now this happens, and whilst I do know that the end is unlikely... it just makes looking at tomorrow so, so fucking hard. I'm really, really sorry but it's so, so fucking hard to not look, to get this shit out of my mind. Sorry.
https://www.resetera.com/threads/election-schadenfreude-is-delicious-lets-feast.654282/QuoteI'm not going to lie, I have been delighted watching the alt-right media publicly come to realizations of the staggering repudiations they were just handed in the mid-terms . It feeds my soul. Post your best morsels here. Give me the best the internet has to offer on FOX News meltdowns, public tantrums or just dumb election denying fascists getting completely dunked on.

Quote from: Argos7How old are you? 24. Why?Quote from: DiceDo you live in the area? No, but in the case of a war with Russia being in the UK means I'm utterly, utterly fucked. Not that anywhere wouldn't be fucked. So try and focus on that to come down a bit and not spiral. It's alright. I try that but half the posts seem like they're confirming my fears. Idk. Sorry. I'm really just typing right now because if I stopped I'd probably have a panic attack or something.

Quote from: Soap Too many kiddies playing fallout think we can survive a nuclear wasteland. For me it's because I know I won't survive. Or that I will for a while, but then die a horrible, painful and prolonged death from thirst, radiation poisoning, starvation, etc. It's also just the fact that, if we're hanging on a nuclear precipice, I can't see any future. Can't make long-term plans or anything. Shit.Quote from: tiebreakerJust think back when it started. Does you being stressed about this helped you in any way? I‘m genuinely concerned when I read your posts.Deep breath, and try to get your mind off this topic. It hasn't no but I just can't fucking get my head around it. I can ignore climate change, civil unrest. Hell I can at least make a good attempt at ignoring Trump and the Tories and such. But this... this is so, so much fucking more. Honestly this whole year has been lost because of the stress caused by this, and now it's looking like another year will be lost as well. This is signfiicantly worse than COVID ever was. Frankly I'm fucking nostalgic for that time now.

Official Staff CommunicationThis is a distressing situation, but at the moment news agencies all over the world are investigating in order to find out what happened. While we wait for legitimate reporting, we will remind everyone to try and keep a cool head. Please don't turn this thread into cries of "WW3 is upon us" or talk of some kind of revenge. The fact is we don't know what happened or why it happened, for all we know it could have been a total accident that would lead to no escalation from Poland or it's allies.Right now we have no reason to panic or to believe that the conflict in Ukraine is going to be spilling over the border into Poland or the rest of Eastern Europe. Everyone who lives in the region is rightfully freaking out right now and they don't need us throwing gas onto the fire. We'll give everyone 5 minutes to read this and take a breath, then we will reopen the thread.
