Okay Era to keep this to the point heres a bullet list of the situation

-known friend since she was in middle school and I was in high school.
-lived most of her life in rural GA.
-Had issues with her step father enough that it was one of the main triggers to her DID diagnosis
-mother is carrying for a disabled adult child right now
-lost her grandfather just recently
-uncle steals from her when she used to live at home
-actions of stepfather drove her to joina cult
-ex husband got her out
-ex husband also ran off her other friends
-she has two kids with ex husband
-biological father and his wife adopted their first daughter, she would like to get her back or get to know her as they were keeping child away because friend is bi.
-ex husband and her moved to WI to live with his mom, and his first son's mother (this woman is important)
-friend has second child, her son.
-neighbor helps take care of him since she is the only one that can work.
-has had issues holding down jobs due to undiagnosed DID,
-ex husband had back issues, did not buy she had DID, wanted an open marriage.
-was forced out of home (which had health violations) and basically realized that she was being gaslight by ex husband
-diagnosed with DID, found out grandfather was dying.
-i paid for flight for her and her 3 year old son to help her see her grandfather before he passed.
-her mom still owes me 245 dollars. I know I will never see this money.
-seperated from husband but due to laws in WI can't take her son out of state to go by friends to help her mental health.
-ex husband's brother gets kid as foster for now.
-ex husband is arrested for drug trafficking or sales for Mexican cartel.
-she got enough money to go to WI to see son and get divorce papers.
-pawned her shit to go back to OH.
-ex husband's first son's mom claimed she was the owner of the stuff that was pawned. Ex husband had all receipts and she has no idea where they are.
-WI has fined her 330 dollars, if she can't pay it then she will be arrested if she goes back to see her son.
-roommates where she is living are late on rent meaning all money from the job she is doing is going to pay land lord, and she has to pay it by the 30th.

I want to help her but the last time I did I never saw a dime back. In that case it was for her grandfather, in this case it would be to pay the fine. But I've got to pay bills myself.

Not sure what to do. Friend has not asked me for money either, but has brought it up.

Ignore things that you don't want to see, just because you find it tiresome doesn't mean others do. It's a forum, people are going to react to stuff, that's how it works. If someone doesn't react to something as you want them to, ignore or block them, it doesn't harm anything and it takes very little effort to do.

What "community" is there here though? The people that try to make communities already stick to whatever thread they congregate in, be it Xbox, Playstation, Specific games, etc. There isn't an overall "Resetera Community" because everyone posting outside of those specific threads are going to be vastly different from one another, just as forums tend to be.

Because a lot of times it actively ruins topics, it's not always easy to ignore. Just ignoring issues does not make them go away, and they have been more prevalent than they have ever been around here.

People are actively rude here to developers, and as a forum that supposedly cares about workers rights and developers and human beings, we do a piss poor job of showing it.

How to fix Resetera.com

- PC gamers are not welcome
- DC fans are not welcome
- Warnings are a thing of the past, every violation now results in a permaban
- Users can pick a side (Nintendo, PlayStation, Xbox) and only post in their respective platform boards, if you want to switch sides you have to DM a mod and write a 1000 word essay to motivate your choice. The users will decide via a poll if you are allowed to cross-post or enter the other side.
- Some game names will be censored, for example C******* 2077
- Every gaming OT should open with a post that explains how the game actively promotes trans rights, diversity, inclusivity and progressive values, games that do not will not have OT's but will be put in a generic 'Other Games' topic. Where images, emoji's and YouTube embeds are disabled.
- Bans based on posting history. A group of community officers will research your posting history across multiple channels. Any activity that violates the ResetEra TOS is an instant perma ban. We encourage posters to help us do the research and report milkshake ducks.
- Your gender and race decides your post limit a cisgendered white male gets 1 post a day
- When signing up you have to provide the following information: full name, street address, company (if you are employed), political affiliation, gender, racial background, active social media accounts (Twitter, Facebook etc.), age, phone number, email

All these rules don't apply to non-binary or non-white posters. However, keep in mind that when your whiteness is in doubt we apply the Nepenthe race theory.

Ok, those are all valid points, but for a different discussion. This thread is specifically about access to education for women in Afghanistan. At what point do you think, in this theoretical natural Taliban loss of power would guaranteed education for girls have happened? I would say it would never have happened. A free and fair society wasn’t going to replace the Taliban with or without US intervention.

i don’t know how important something like that is to normal everyday Afghans before the US invaded, but without some outside influence who actually values education of women, those ideals aren’t going to be instilled or the Taliban would just be doing it themselves.
