Nerd culture becoming the most mainest of mainstream was a huge mistake. Not only because I don't care for it, besides vidya
But its brought out the most tedious parts of it like people getting butthurt about the children's films (lets face it boys thats what they are) they don't like doing better than the children's film they like.
basic gestalt: chuck lorre and anyone involved in the big bang theory are essentially war criminals.
Numerous posters (who all frequent MCU movie threads, of course)had the knives all sharpened when the new Avatar had “low” numbers opening weekend, were flaunting it and taking weird pot shots at Cameron and co.
Fast forward to now and it’s hilariously salty posts like this in that locked culturally irrelevant thread because people are having fun and throwing their words back at them
You can tell it really hit a nerve with the Avatar/James Cameron fans. If you check the box office OT, the fans have basically been repeating this same joke for the past two weeks.
People who had to hear “culturally irrelevant” for 13 years having some fun with the weird attitude towards a fun movie? I guess Era would know about repeating jokes over and over. Oh look another Morbius thread just popped up!
Its hilarious that the only thing people consistently talk about with this franchise is money lol. It making money isn't some gotcha for the culturally irrelevant crowd.
Not really, as evident by the great word of mouth it’s clearly showing. General audiences are checking it out and don’t care about how much it’s making. Though over 4 billion dollars and counting across just two movies 13 years apart IS impressive.
Yep. Transparent and hilarious. If you get your feelings hurt by something-the best thing to do is let everyone know it hurt your feelings. Don't put it in the paper that it hurt your feelings.
Person who is totally not mad tells others THEY are the ones being transparent and having hurt feelings, not him.
They let that become their entire personality.
