Talk about jumping the gun. The dev team has made jokes throughout development about the feature creep and delays caused by the sequel massively expanding in scope. Even the delay trailer joked around with it.

OP has been hating on the game since it launched in a non perfect state and guess this was too good an opportunity to give them another kick despite it being a big old pile of assumption pie.

This is something that would fit perfectly within the scope of their writing / history with the development of this game (the troubled nature of which they've already been referencing)

Wonder if OP will go out of his way to apologise to the devs team for any harm caused - especially if other outlets pick this up without waiting for any comment. You'd have thought the Bayonetta 3 stuff would have people being more cautious to pile on

My reasoning was this.

1. I saw this, found RR in the back by myself and really enjoyed the laugh i got from finding it

2. I genuinely wanted to share that fun with y'all, especially because this forum has previously quite enjoyed their little gags.

3. So I didn't want to tip the cap too much towards it because then I'd be less fun to find.

4. So I went with something I thought was benign but also applicable as I was saying staging this picture was what made him a treasure

5. Oops.

This reminds me when I made a thread on some boardgames that are really unique and special and people ended up ripping the designer (who even signed up on era to comment on the thread) a new one for some comments outside of the game that they found questionable. I thought it was at least discussion worthy, even if I agree that some comments were borderline... Discussion worthy.

Hard to know how to deal with this, it has taught me to reevaluate people's connections and their private matters a lot more, which is important. It does matter if people do shitty things and we keep promoting them regardless. That promotes an endless cycle of not giving a fuck. But isn't it also a bit weird, how it immediately makes any discussion surrounding it super toxic, especially when we are among other people here on era who usually aren't the biggest shitheads? It's such a weird situation and it seems really hard to find a baseline decent level of discourse.

I really don't understand what's going on in this forum anymore sometimes. Too many members are allowed to run free and derail threads with all kinds of hyper aggressive bullshit. Some people want to have a discussion about certain problematic elements in these movies, which is fine, but what discussion can be had when from the start their argument is "you're a literal piece of shit if you disagree with me in any way"? Because when I first saw the story it was not in any way clear that it was intended to be a joke and I saw it repeated in multiple places verbatim as if it was true, so either half the internet is in on this joke that he's apparently ruined by "well acktuallying" it, or people are mad because someone pointed out a story they believed was made up?
