Growing up we had the Encore! channel and they would show old cowboy vs. indian movies from the 60's made by Disney.  The indians always talking like Slayven.  "Me Want two go home four sea my ant who baked a Π."

I played it when it came out so it's been a minute. But isn't everyone Ellie killed done so in self-defense in outright combat situations and all her friends volunteered to come with her on her revenge mission? And she's seeking revenge on the person that slowly and brutally murdered her father figure in front of her? I'm not seeing really any terribleness from Ellie here.

However, if using the loss of fingers and the subsequent loss of the ability to play guitar to remember that person by is the narrative hook they've gone with, especially after using the guitar thing in so much of the pre-release media, then I guess my dismissiveness of the quality of the writing is not misplaced.

Yeah, and that’s why bitching about the futility the revenge as a story is like throwing obscenities at the sun: is also futile. What you can argue is that is not a particularly good story or the game suffers from it.

If this is true, then 'actual progressives' who meet the correct standards don't have anything to complain about when it comes to their lack of power, because at that point, they're a really small part of the Congressional caucus who shouldn't have outsized power.

I mean I don't have delusions about that. We can continue to be one of the worst countries in the world and don't change anything, or maybe try to be civilized.
