Keffals is not only generally protected as a white leftist in spaces where white leftists with any notable social media clout are protected by default for a myriad of reasons already explained, but she at least had the advantage of "doing something" due to the circumstances, of actually waging a tangible fight with a seeming victory.

People are desperate right now and are looking for heroes, for individuals with the means to finally say "enough" and undermine the mechanisms by which oppression occurs.

In this case by having a billion dollar corporation with a massive majority share of a market drop and lie about a single small client and, with the assistance of billion dollar media corporations, call on crimes to be committed against that client. With the "mechanism of oppression" being recording what people say in public.

People don't understand that this has literally been a strategic flaw pointed out since the original civil rights movement. Leaders are individuals prone to fallibility, error, and- in worst cases- assassination. They concentrate power unnecessarily and arbitrarily, and make movements ripe for sabotage. Change only occurs when power is dispersed across the masses through active organization of communities wherein everyone exercises their agency and ability to do what they can to improve their environments.

If the plan is to tell a more street level Spider-Man story, as they've said, I'm not sure how that could happen in between those two movies if Tom is also the lead in Kang Dynasty.

And that would likely put the release of Spider-Man 4 at December 2025. Sony is not waiting four full years between Spider-Man sequels. If that ends up true, it's clear that Marvel/Disney will have even more control than the previous contract.
