I'm glad I don't use twitter. Just a reminder to send any trans vtubers some love during this whole mess. The few people who go on harassment campaigns on both sides of the issue does not represent the whole community.

Genuinely want to help them? Call out shit behavior and demand removal of the HL boycott at RE because isn’t even a deterrent to bad behavior, just make assholes act more like assholes.
I disagree. I don’t think the boycott is inherently bad, though as a policy is completely infeasible as the new Atomic Heart situation shows. The issue is banning all talk of the game is not what they wanted. They want the game banned entirely, but to be able to talk about it in their little group so they can ruthlessly harass and attack vtubers, streamers, and more who never leveled abuse at all in their direction. They received abuse from others so now feel they are justified to deliver it wherever and whenever, regardless if the target is justified or deserving. They lash out, like a poor marksman, with little regard of the damage it does, ironically, much like the people laying abuse in their direction. And in the end, like a witch trial, if someone got hurt they deserved it because they wouldn’t have been hurt if they had been a
true ally.
Terminally online are like this and has nothing to do with trans issues. It could be anything. Their lives and identity are empty so they fill it with whatever cause catches their interest and because they make it their identity, they treat any discussion as vital, any criticism as personal, and any alternatives as an attack. It also means to them that any and all actions to meet their cause’s goal is justified.
