If someone has a disability that makes it difficult to work with small screws or dealing with installing stuff like SSDs then it could go from being a minor inconvenience to becoming almost impossible to do. I'm gonna side-eye the hell out of any actor that's willing to sign onto this project. I get it, kid actors gotta hustle, but any experienced adult or teen actor who's already established in the industry better stay the fuck away from this show.

Like, I'm not about to throw shade at voice actors who recorded their dialogue for Hogwarts Legacy 6 years ago before Rowling went Super Saiyan TERF Genocide, but by now, her evil has soaked into the groundwater. But, as others have pointed out,  it is a really uncomfortable feeling to see members that really should know better keep popping in to post how excited they are about the project.  I have trouble believing there are many, if any, members of this site that aren't aware of what JKR has been doing.

I don't know the solve for this,  but it's definitely dampening my experience on the site.

I would say by now that Rowling's aggressive transphobia is big enough to hit national news in plenty of countries, especially with outlets like the BBC continuously trying to defend her. That's not to say it's impossible that someone might not know about it by now, but it's pretty unlikely for a TON of people to somehow avoid all of this stuff while still being gigantic HP fans.

If we're going down that path I'd prefer there to be a ethical rule on it, e.g. any IP whose creator or primary owner openly pledges to use the funds generated for genocide is to not be given promotion for any new works generating money to fund their efforts, not a specific JK Rowling rule.

That way there is a clear rationale to point to when people ask why games funded all or in part by Saudi Arabia PIF, Russian oligarchy, or CCP members are allowed.

Steam Deck sales are steadily growing, as is interest in the device. Not to mention popular games well suited for the Steam Deck are charting high on Steam in general.
PSVR2 is dead on arrival. The headsets aren't selling and neither are the games.

In Europe Sony isn't even selling this at retailers I think, only in their own online store.
It's another Wii U confusion situation too, because there's a product at retail called PlayStation VR V2, which is basically the 2nd version of the original PS4 VR headset.

It's really no surprise though, for the asking price you can buy ~8 PS5 games or just a single Horizon spin-off with a VR headset.
At this point in the cycle it's a no-brainer to buy 8 PS5 games instead.

One of my main beefs with VR all along is that its an 80s concept. How has no one thought up of something better since?

VR as a concept is great. it's just that people with the resources to make something good on it aren't willing to do so due to low sales potential. Half Life Alyx is a phenomenal game and bar none the most immersive interactive experience you can have outside of like...Disneyland, but Sony couldn't even get Valve to port THAT to PSVR2. PSVR2 has less exclusives than launch Vita. The thing is as good as dead.

This thread is batshit. Some people's identities are too tied up in the media they enjoy. The idea that no matter how bad a film is and before even seeing it one will have already decided they will like the film no matter what is so strange to me. I'm of the radical opinion that any form of permittance of discrimination against any group of people is wrong. In this context, using the veil of "fairness" and "competition" to exclude certain people who happen to deviate from strict societal gender norms doesn't exactly make this policy more amenable, in my opinion.
