Ah shit, for once I kinda agree with those cats. Having been a poor kid, I can say for certain that although I might’ve wanted to keep the hoody, I couldn’t have taken a new hoody home to my parents. It just would’ve been mad awkward and weird and kinda embarrassing for all of us. My parents were good people, they didn’t need reminding that they couldn’t stop me being visibly ‘poor’ to the outside world.

I’ve read various thoughts as why it is beyond that simple explanation. Wasn’t Wednesday a big show recently set in high school? Isn’t h@**y p0[[3* huge and set in school? Or in a broader sense, how many popular comedies are bachelors in their 20s and 30s. Or college comedies. I get the, for lack of a better term, per capita reasoning. But it seems to me like it’s got regular appeal. Can’t say it’s my scene. Last real school based media I got into was Persona 5, something like six years ago?

Sometimes I feel like I missed out by having a very normal and healthy time in high school. Didn’t peak there. Nor do I have resentment from bullying or whatever.

The problem is they had a final decision before even looking at the data. They adjusted some of the data they gathered to fit their narrative instead of using it to build a conclusion.

At this point I just want this to be over, but allowing an easy block would put microsoft in a weird spot regading future purchases

I also dont know how the CMA appeal process works, but it would be weird if this doesnt have some sort of judicial review after a CAT response. Blocking a 70bn purchase while claiming Microsoft has some sort of monopoly in a sub market that represents less than 2% of the overall gaming market is really shady in my opnion.

Also, how are you blocking a deal when you can't even predict what that market is going to look like in 10 years?

Reminds me of how on one of my grocery runs for the mutual aid org I volunteer for, one of the deliveries led me to a small little enclave of apartments on this tiny road. Does it all come through her parents and is tinged with that typical suburban criticism of people doing things you don't like on their property? Has she checked to see if any of her immediate neighbors need mutual aid of any kind or does she dismiss the idea that they could need something because they're "rich" since they live where she does? Or does she just think they don't deserve it for some reason like their race or age or sexual orientation or location? Are they not showing the signs of "need" enough for her to feel good? Are they somehow having problems that aren't because of the system even though everything bad is caused by capitalism, colonialism, white supremacy and transphobia? Shouldn't her activism be targeted at the "powerful" suburban voter who can use their leverage to "abolish" the system by showing them the merits of the "take a carrot, leave a carrot" utopia? Or is her "activism" about waiting for others to lead the inevitable revolution?
