I have. And yeah, I said that in the other thread. I don't like the fact that movie was based on the American version. The publisher here in the US cut out the last chapter. Argh.

Actually when they re-released the book in america, the author mentioned how his editors were idiots and anybody who found any meaning in the original american version was a complete idiot.

The story always seemed fucking worthless to me. This dumbass has a brain, does stupid things, and we're supposed to find entertainment in it.

And the story's entertainment is in how embarassingly shallow it is, it could've been a concept for a non-shittty story.

The book was probably the most fun I've ever had reading. Not only is it great, but you literally learn a new language through context clues. You'll annoy the shit out of your friends for a couple weeks afterwards, though. I still bring out the droogy nonsense whenever I'm drunk.
