10 days should be, like, nearly the maximum length of a normal temp ban. The standard of making bans last weeks or fucking months is idiotic, and misses the whole point of a ban.

I agree with Crushed on that. The standard ban on NeoGAF is stupidly long. And you might want to watch out, since I was banned for a week for not reading the entirety of an OP and three hours later it was changed to a month. Especially since this is the worst case of banning people for having opinions that I've ever seen on the gaming side.

What's next, banning people for laughing at a joke? Oh wait... thanks dragona for bringing gaming side-style modding to the OT

The think I love about those AAA games official threads is that if you buy the game but didn't like it you can't say that or explain the reasons why you didn't like it because you are gonna get banned for "trolling", and you can't make a new thread because them people will point out that the thread is unnecessary since there is already an official thread, you will be accused of trolling and get banned or made a perma junior.

Yeah, UC is considerably worse than UK or UofL with regard to crime. There is the occasional shooting at UK, but it is rare because Lexington's worst usually get beat with nightsticks when they appear on UK's campus, whereas Cincinnati has some spots that wouldn't be out of place for Detroit (still not nearly as bad as the worst parts of Motown, but not places I would stop for gas either). UK football players are pretty infamous locally for being involved in nearly every major crime on campus, including a shooting that campus police covered up the UK player's involvement.
