I dig the new SHO, though it doesn't look much different from the regular Taurus. I could only spot a couple of differences... chrome around the lower grill, dual split exhaust and different wheels, a spoiler and some badges. Maybe they should have made the lower bodywork body color to set it apart and accentuate the lowered (I assume it's lower anyway) ride height of the car. Unless they're going all out for sleeper of the decade anyway.
That torque "curve" is pretty crazy
The whole point of the SHO from day one is that it's a sleeper car. It may look like a regular Taurus, but it'll bite you in the ass if you're not careful.
There's also supposed to be a SHO-exclusive pea green color that's similar to the pea green color that was available in the 1991-1995 SHO's, as well. The same pea green that Conan O'Brien had on his SHO.

The only thing that turns me off is the price- $38K to start. Then again, it's similar in size to big German luxury sedans, and the Ford press release drew a comparision to the BMW 550i, so maybe it's a bargain compared to ze Germans, who presumably are still butthurt over the Cadillac CTS and CTS-V. I'm not expecting Lancer Evo X-levels of performance, but if the 0-60 times are in the low-to-mid 5 second range, and if Ford Racing offers some bolt-ons, watch out!
