The thread hit its potential in that short time though:

- Extreme defensiveness to the point of delusion.
- Secret Microsoft agendas revealed!
- People hoping the OP would get sued because god forbid a game they like's developer (or subcontractor who did promo artwork) may have stolen something.
- People who have no clue what the law is espousing copyright information to bend to their fanboy tendencies.

At this point, the rest of the thread would have just recycled the above.

the blogs must be tired out after E3, that's my only explanation as to why this hasn't showed up yet. They are wont to post rumors from message boards as objective fact, so I bet we see something by Monday.

Also since it is archived, it prevents blogs from picking up the news as you can't see the archives without an account. So the news may not spread now.

I doubt that EviLore whisked it to the archives so nobody will catch it. The thread had a lot of classic moments (highlighting the very worst of GAF) and sometimes it is a good idea to end things on a high note. Another example of the archive that overstayed its welcome was the thread about the furry who copied GAF. Once the husband of the furry and the furry himself appeared, it was pretty anticlimactic. Just my opinion though.

But it's fucking stupid either way. Both games are going to be fantastic and I agree that games need to be visually appealing but since both are anyway the focus should be on how the game will play. The cars look like cars now tell me if they'll handle like actual cars. Doesn't Che post here sometimes? I'd love to pick his brain about other things besides how fucking sweet their windshield reflections are.

We don't know how good the games will be.

I thought the point of these racing sims is to admire the inane details from the types of suspension that can be used to whether or not a car receives damage to the details of the cars themselves. I agree that it is console war bullshit to compare Forza 3 to GT5 but the comments were things that people were looking at with previous Forza and GT releases.

I find racing sims to be boring because of the insane grinds you need to make to get a new set of parts. At least that is how I remember GT3 being.
