The review was way too "by the book" in terms of structure. The review starts with the cliched "is it worth your money or should I pass" rhetorical question, and then proceed to hit the traditional bullet points (gameplay, story,etc). I hardly read game reviews for this very reason (plus writing is generally terrible), but if I did, I would want to read what someone really wanted to say about the game instead or some kind of central idea echoed throughout.

video reviews are great if done well. If you want to avoid that route but try something similar, i don't know, have links to videos that relate to the text.

Bad game review video things usually suck 99% of the time. The are thousands who do that shit on youtube, and while you can argue if the angry video game nerd is good or not, he's the only one who is popular.

I liked that your Bionic Commando review didn't use any typical letter or number-based scores; makes people read the whole thing instead of just skipping down to the bottom too see what the final score is and ditching everything else. My "real talk" response also echoes a few others' in that you aren't bringing anything to the table with reviews that tons of other sites already did before you. The second article you posted was much better.

But you need to work on your spelling and grammar. I noticed several mistakes just glossing back over it a second time.
