Yup. Back then the 360 was the only next gen console and was impressing lots of people with Live/actual games. Remember all the GRAW love? And when the PS3 first came out NPD day was just another thread to laugh at Sony woes - Media Create being the other. Now the PS3 is (barely) outselling the 360 and Sony fans are gaining confidence as the Old Guard (ie PS2 fanboys) begin to retake the board

I was a non-360 owner for almost a year after its launch and I never felt like a leper the way it is now at GAF. And at least if the 360 dudes had a spring in their step it was because actual games were being released on it.

The difference between 360 fans and PS3 fans is that very few 360 owners went XBox-only, while going Sony-only was the norm for a lot of PS3 owners (and others). The other difference is that the PS3 fans are trying to overcompensate for the fact that they weren't/aren't the ones on top for a time.

i post less overall. i've been depressed over the past few months and it's been really hard to shake it. i keep thinking of going to a psychiatrist and possibly getting some meds, but i hate the thought of having to take mood-altering meds again.

I hope you feel better, dude. A couple of my friends take antidepressants (citalopram and celexa, I think) and they have perfectly healthy lives. There is nothing wrong with taking those kinds of meds.

Obviously, good intentions do not excuse evil. I never claimed it did. The point of the comic was to malign the intentions of those who support distributive justice. I believe--for the most part--their intentions are actually good.

Anyway, I don't think the ends of distributive justice are evil. It takes a myopic ideologue to believe that things like public schools, healthcare, welfare, and pensions are evils comparable to abortion clinic bombings. Meanwhile abortion clinic bombers have a clear malicious intent: they plan on harming doctors, nurses, and women who plan on getting abortions.
