Old Snake tries to shoot himself, hits and kills a child Otacon. Flashback time motherfuckers, Naked Snake shot Otacon on accident, so he clones him and this explains why Otacon and Solid Snake are together.

Not only did he(Naked Snake) clone Otacon but he also cloned himself(again) and somehow placed this clone in another "Time Sector". Basically, there's a Bizzaro Snake in another world that is basically a bad guy. Bizzaro Raiden(AKA BIZZARO MERYL'S HUSBAND) is the Hero of this story guys.

Oh and Meryl Silverburgh is actually the daughter of big boss, but was placed into hiding with MIND CONTROL!!!!!!1111

Raiden gets his normal body sewn back together, and Rose shows up with their son, John. She explains that she only "married" Colonel Campbell as an act to protect herself and their son. Raiden thinks that John is scared of him, but John says, "YOU'RE LIKE A COMIC BOOK SUPERHERO," and swings around a toy katana he got from his ass or something.

Meanwhile, Meryl is getting married to Johnny Sasaki, the guard who always has diarrhea. The black dude from Meryl's unit is a priest apparently. Drebin shows up, and he and Otacon talk about the Patriots for a while, and it's revealed that Drebin was under orders from the Patriots. He also shows them that "Rat Pt 01" (Meryl's unit) is an anagram for "Patr10t."

Snake can't show up because his FOXDIE has mutated into super FOXDIE, which kills people at random instead of selected targets. You think he's about to shoot himself, and the camera pans up and there's a gunshot. A few credits roll.

But it cuts back. Old Snake can't shoot himself, so he fires into the air instead. Big Boss magically shows up (THEY REBUILT HIM WITH LIQUID AND SOLIDUS' BODY PARTS) and he and Snake have a showdown and end up hugging each other. It turns out that Big Boss' body which got burned earlier in the game was actually Soldius' body.

Big Boss explains that everything was all a setup by Ocelot, who was never really possessed by a ghost at all, it was all an act with hypnotherapy to make himself SEEM like Liquid so he could fool the Patriots and destroy them using Snake. The Patriots are now all destroyed or dead except for Major Zero (who is now over 100 years old and mindless in a wheelchair which also magically appears without Snake noticing) and Big Boss. Big Boss kills Zero by pulling his life support. He also tells Snake that his NEW FOX-DIE (which killed Ocelot, EVA, and is now killing Big Boss) is overriding the old mutating super FOX-DIE. Big Boss and Snake share a cigar while Big Boss dies on The Boss' grave.

Cut to credits.


After the credits, Snake and Otacon talk. Snake says he's giving up smoking. Otacon says he'll be with Snake to the end, as a witness to his final days. The last person who talks is Sunny, who's cooking eggs. She says that the eggs look like the sun, and that the sun is rising again.
