I missed that the map didn't have labels. The percentages are obesity rates.

If you like raccoon, yes.
I'm suprised so few people have really connected, policy-wise, obseity with poverty in the US. The correlations and causations are very clear.

Cash and CaloriesSatisfying, tasty, cheap and convenient, calorie-dense foods may be the principal reasons for overeating and weight gain, the researchers said. The survey found that higher-calorie, energy-dense foods appear to be the better bargain for cash-strapped shoppers: Energydense munchies cost an average $1.76 per 1,000 calories, compared with $18.16 per 1,000 calories for low-energy but nutritious foods—more than 10 times the cost per calorie.

Confession time:I've never actually watched Jeeves and Wooster. It was even on the local public TV station, TV Ontario, the other night.
$18.16 per 1000 calories for non-junk food? Where are they doing their shopping? It's quite easy to eat healthy food for cheap. Just get rice, fish, chicken breasts and vegetables, and you're set. Throw in some pasta every now and then.
You like Lennon? "House of the Rising Sun" is pretty awesome.
