If Kojima made BioShock, Andrew Ryan would have shown up at the end, explained that he had a super-special Vita Chamber that you just couldn't see due to your plasmids, hug you, randomly kill some old dude, and then suddenly die from your "mutated super-plasmids."

Then the Little Sisters would have yammered on about eggs, while Dr. Tenenbaum suddenly dies from cancer she magically developed, but was holding back with plasmids.

Atlas would have actually only been PRETENDING to be Frank Fontaine, as the real Frank Fontaine did die, but Atlas set all this up and had you kill hundreds of people BECAUSE IT'S THE ONLY WAY

You would have had lengthy two-way conversations with Atlas over the radio, and had a boss fight against Ryan where he ran around the room before you drained his health bar. Once the fight was over, a blood stain would suddenly appear on his shirt with no obvious wound, and he would lie down and explain how he's your father and how you were trained and all that, and then would quietly die in your arms. Lighting effects would give the appearance of his ghost escaping his body while Jack shook his head and cried.

But again, he's not really dead.

I read that thread and shook my head. A lot of these guys complain about how hard they have it socially (that or they went to Wikipedia and declared that they have Asperger's) but they have no idea how to keep friends or probably how to make them. Not surprisingly, it is all set up in a narcissistic tone. "How dare they do that to me?"

He'll fantasize how Payton told Kojima about this guy in the US who really loves Metal Gear, and is very knowledgeable about all types of games too. Because that guy is a big shot industry insider who runs a gaming forum and owned Denis Dyack. And since Dyack used to be Kojima's apprentice, now Evilore must take his place, b/c that's what he learned in a samurai book or Final Fantasy game or something.

Payton is supposedly a cool guy. xfe seems to vouch for him and that is good enough for me.

MGS4 is one of my favorite games, but I don't really don't know if I would consider it the 'best' game ever or anything like that.

And you should hold back on using sales as a means to justify quality; that is unless you are willing to say that Wii Fit and Wii Play are the two best games out today.

MGS4 barely constitues a "game". There's maybe 2 or 3 hours of actual gameplay in the thing while the rest is just non-stop cinemas.

He worked at Kojima Productions and, apparently, was the reason MGS4 had the more accessible gameplay or something. He was also the host of the Kojima Production Report podcast, which was actually a good podcast.

I do think that somethings were a bit overboard with his 'fame', like a documentary about him on the MGS4 LE.

The major difference is that you can move while shooting now. Controls and camera are still clunky though, compared to most 3rd person shooters.
