I am too, in a "fun with bugs" sort of way. At least I don't have to suffer through the console versions, although given Ubi's track record, I doubt the PC version will be well optimized.

You know, you should probably get used to this kind of thing. I think long gone are the days where developers will spend millions to develop the biggest and best tech for the biggest and best hardware, when they could base it on consoles, sell millions, and give the PC players a hand-me-down.

I've gotten used to it for a few years, thank you. I've also gotten used to seeing games become dumbed down and more rambofied at about the same pace, particularly then games from Ubi. The one thing that makes this one sting a bit more was the fact that I very nearly believed Ubi when they lied about the goals they had for this game, the supposed "For PC, on PC first and foremost" strategy. Should have known better, and I should also have known that the game would come out looking like a framey glitchfest, but hey. They got me on that one.

Don't get me wrong, tho. I don't care about the attacks on Wii Music, but I've always had some minor issue with grown men who jizz over the chance to play as a DOLL in LBP criticize something for being too kiddy. We all sit here and think that we are somehow more dignified by wailing on buttons pretending to be a spaceship commander instead of wearing a plastic helmet and making pshw pshw noises, but we aren't, and society certainly doesn't make a distinction.

Granted, I was just at TGS this weekend, so my disgust with the hobby may just be at a peak at the moment.

Well, I suppose there's been some misunderstanding, because I totally agree with this.

I don't agree in the binary approach to gaming. Some games I'd be embarrassed to play if my friends were over. Wii Music is one of them. Not just because it is on Wii either but because it sounds god awful. Not only that but the justifications for it being "good" have reached new lows. Wii Music now is a game that transcends music itself, if you read those GAF threads. All while having a track listing that sounds like something that would be played in the 1st grade with ancient MIDI.
