Official threads should be even simpler. It should be virtually image free and with a few bullet points about the features for potential buyers to get the gist of what the game consists of. Post a few URLs for the official website, videos, and pictures, and the basics like price and release date.
Official threads suck anyway because it all devolves to circle jerking where anything less than 100% positive means you're a troll. If I recall, these threads are meant for discussion. I agree with hating on the "this game sux lol" but if someone says that there is a lag in the response, the proper way to rebut the argument is not to scream in hysterics about being a troll and a shill for the competitor. Healthy conversations about the game typically don't happen until months after release when most of the fanboys have moved onto other games and no longer feel the need to defend the game and developer of the game like it was your firstborn.
It's in the dank and dark corners of official threads that create a lot of the annoying inside jokes and memes that get used in other threads.
