Lemurs and Viz seem to have some pretty valid complaints. Things that have bothered me as an iPod owner. Why do you care if they do research to get a product that suits their needs?
You guys are being pretty obnoxious, "Buy an iPod," "Why do you care?," "Don't be poor."
Not to mention the fact that the iAudio X5 when it first came out was nearly $400 because of how technologically superior it was/is. Being poor? Bullshit. People who like the players I like are the kinds of people who liked minidisk recorders.
iPod doesn't come with a built in radio when it could be easily done, but the attachment costs something like $30-50.
35 hour long battery.
Built in FM tuner.
Build in video.
Microphone Recording
Line In Recording
Alarm (Set a time, player turns on automatically and records selection of line in or radio. People use this to do things like record radio shows like Howard Stern on Sirius. It's very useful.)
USB On the Go
5 Band EQ and various enhancement settings. Considered to be at or near the top of the food chain when it comes to sound quality.
Picture Viewer and Text Viewer (Useless to me)
MP3, OGG, WMA, WAV files, and FLAC
USB Storage
M3U (I like this. If you organize your shit you should be fine.)
Bookmarking (Rather than fast forward through a 5 hour long recorded radio show to get to the point where you left off you book mark it and listen later from whatever point)
Windows, Mac, and Linux. I don't know if iPod is Linux compatible
The player was released several months before the iPod Video. I'd say the player was well ahead of it's time and no other HDD DAP (besides various PMPs) have matched it in terms of features.
